MotherCircle
MotherCircle is an 8-class series created for mothers who want to explore the unseen aspects of the motherhood journey - physically, emotionally, sexually, archetypically, and spiritually.
MotherCircle provides the space to metabolize everything we go through with like-hearted people who are attuned and deeply curious about what it means to be a mother, mothering, reclaiming motherhood on our own terms.

Women circling is the oldest code. Ancient wisdom and modern research tell us that when women gather, their mental health drastically improves.
And when mothers thrive, communities thrive.

MotherCircle is for anyone who identifies as a Mother, or anyone who has an experience of Mothering or Motherhood that they wish to explore more deeply. In other words, if you’re interested in engaging in interesting conversation around topics that we don’t often have the opportunity to explore, this is for you.
This includes (but is not limited to):
Mothers with children of any age (pregnant, recently postpartum, children in school or adolescence, empty nesters, grandmothers, those who have experienced pregnancy loss)
Women who want to be mothers
Mothers who want to create community with other mothers and to gather around meaningful topics and motherhood wisdom
Mothers looking to live into a new narrative, and redefine motherhood on their own terms
Women who care for mothers. (Childbirth educators, Birthworkers, Midwives, birth and postpartum doulas, OBGYNs, Lactation consultants, L&D nurses, Prenatal and postpartum yoga teachers and Somatic therapists)
My hope is that we have a group with diverse experiences and backgrounds because there is so much wisdom to be shared when we gather.
MotherCircle is an antidote to feelings of isolation, confusion, disconnect, and overwhelm that so many of us experience. There is nothing more nourishing than gathering with others in a space where we can be held, seen, and heard through our experience.
-
Each class is approximately 90-minutes where we will be learning, sharing, reflecting, and witnessing.
The gatherings are ritualized through a combination of an opening embodiment practice (breathwork, meditation, or movement), a teaching around a specific theme, journaling for inner reflection, and plenty of time for connection and discussion in a warm and welcoming container.
Many find that the material covered and the sense of community built is exactly what they needed and yet something they never would have known to ask or look for.

If for some reason you are unable to make a class, please let me know. We will provide the option of a live-streamed session on Zoom for you to observe. If you are unable to attend the live virtual session, we will send you the recording (individual shares and group discussions will not be included).
Please note that you will only be able to witness and observe the live-streamed class. You will not have the ability to share with others or contribute to the discussions.
-
The in-person gatherings are intended for mamas only so you can receive the greatest benefit from our time together.
Exceptions will be made on an individual basis for young babies in mama’s arms. Please reach out to me to discuss.

After visiting the Barn for the first time, I knew this was the perfect space to host MotherCircle. The Barn is unique, unlike any space I’ve seen in our Valley. It is stunning, light-filled, and infused with intention and heart.
We know that the location might be less convenient for those coming from “down-valley” but our hope is that each session will feel like a true retreat. Arriving at The Barn feels like you are instantly transported to somewhere unexpected - it is a breath of fresh air. Often pulling ourselves away from our narrow day-to-day experience can offer surprising and unexpected perspective and insight.
“We believe that a Yoga studio may serve as a sanctuary for gathering together to metabolize and embody the complexities of our shared human experience. Our intention is to provide exceptional studies in Yoga & Meditation to a local and global community of practitioners; fostering bonds between people and the planet through the art and soul of Practice. We welcome you to join us for the journey” - The Barn

It takes a village to raise a child,
and it takes a village to raise a mother.
